Oh boy, do I have a sweet family to introduce you to. A couple of weeks ago, I made my way over to the Lehman home to photograph their new baby boy, Henry. After swooning over his nursery, it was time to turn my attention to Henry and sneak in a few snuggles in between shots. It’s quite easy to get baby fever when working with these sweet babes, luckily my current pregnancy filled that void! Look at his little mouth and perfect skin; he truly was a gorgeous newborn boy. One of my favorite details from his nursery was the national park framed posters. Henry’s dad is an avid outdoors man and the little touches of that were perfect for a boy’s nursery. The Yosemite poster was particularly special, as the Lehman’s spent their first wedding anniversary at Yosemite! How cool is that? Another favorite detail was Henry’s monogrammed diaper cover. It’s a simple detail, but a boy monogram doesn’t stay around forever, and we are in the south, so such things should be well documented.
It’s always an honor to be invited into the home of newly christened parents and to be trusted with their baby’s first portraits. Feelings of thanks doesn’t quite describe it, but I’m constantly reminded that the work I do is exactly what I want to do (and get to do). How many people can count their job as a dream? Newborn and birth photography are my passion and I thank every single client I’ve ever had for the opportunities. Now, on to this precious boy down there. Welcome to the world, Henry!
